Ljubljana again the spot

Already the 4th time the international Slovenian
EMMA Finals will take place at the biggest car fashion show of the
country, the Automotorshow in Ljubljana. EMMA Slovenia is glad to
welcome agian many international competitors to show off at this
remarkable event. |

International Competition in Sweden
|

On August 21-22, the Swedish National Finals are
held, and we invite all EMMA competitors to sign in for this big
event. The location is close to Helsingborg and Malmö. Beginning
of the competition is on Saturday at 11°°. The ceremony is
planned for Sunday afternoon 15°° o´clock. This event
has the international status so the Qualificationspoints count also
in the Country of Origin.

Addendum 2010 updated

On July 20 an update regarding the measurement procedure
in ESPL Experienced Category was announced. In the future it will
be allowed to fold down the rear seats during the measurment in all
ESPL Experienced Categories. |

EMMA Portugal lifts off

Since the beginning of 2010 EMMA Portugal has a new
leadership and after arranging a judge seminar in may now the first
two
stages of Emma's national championship are setup for the following
dates: 17th
and 18th
of July and 14th
and
15th of August |

EMMA Greece with new record
|

125 participants, in Sound Quality, Multi
Media, ESPL, and Free Style classes took part on the Agios Stefanos
Event in Athens. EMMA never had to handle such a big amount of competitors in
only one day but it went smooth and all were happy in the end. In
between excellent eating and drinking facilities the 14 judges did
a great job starting at 8:30 in the morning and finishing the judging
at 18:30 so that the ceremony began punctually 20:30. A premiere
was
the
use
of
seperate
measuring systems for the classical ESPL and the so called free style
competitors, a new adapted format for newcomers to the SPL scene.
Of course afterwards a tipical greek party took place and all promised
to be back again on the next big competition of EMMA Greece. |

EMMA Finals again in Rotterdam

After discussing with different possible locations in Europe to find a proper place for the 2010 EMMA Eurofinals, the EMMA Team came to the conclusion to do this important event again at the 100% tuning Show in Rotterdam. The dates are from October 6 - 10 at the Ahoy Centre and the program will be based on the experience we had in 2009 where more than 50 000 Visitors came to attend the show. South Africa organises first event

EMMA South Africa held their First Judge training
on the 20th & 21st
March and the weeks after that a couple of practical training lesseons
followed. With the support of DLS South Africa a fist " mini"
competition was organised and the judges had the chance to gather
experience in a real competition surrounding with all the different
categories. Everything went well and the feedback form the participants
side was very positive. Now everyone is waiting to come to the first
official EMMA competition on August 1. |

Russia relaunched

After changing the management of EMMA Russia the season now started with two events the same weekend. In the South of Russia, in Essentuki, about 80 participants in six nominations (Sound Quality, Multimedia, ESPL, EMMA-Racing, EMMA-Art and EMMA-Tuning) fought for the Cup of Caucases. In the North-Western Region, in St. Petersburg, as part of the "Auto-Spring" festival, 40 competitors have been running for the Cup of Baltia in Sound Quality, Multimedia and ESPL. Along with the Russian competitors there were colleagues from Ukraine (acting also as referees), Finland and Latvia. More than 65000 fans attended the competitions in order to see the works of both the beginners as well as winners of the previous Russian and European Championships. A good start into 2010. |

Baltic Cup in St. Petersburg

Great event in Ukraine

The season 2010 was opened on April, 24-25th in the city of Zaporozhye, as add on to a big Auto Sound and Tuning Show. EMMA UKriane was also juding the Tuners cars in 7 different categories and a total amount of 70 competitoiors showed of on the field. The 5000 visiors of the show could see many restored cars, retro cars and of course modified and tuned vehicles. A cool kick off with potential to become a leading show in Ukraine.

South East Asia Finals in Bangkok

| EMMA of Thailand would like to inform that competition in Thailand this year has escalated to the main event of this part of the world. To accommodate that its name is changed from “Thailand International Championship” to “Southeast Asia Championship" The debut of Southeast Asia Championship 2010 is starting next weekend. The round 1 of Southeast Asia Championship 2010 is schedule for 15-16 May 2010 at “Central Plaza Rattanathibeth” Nonthaburi Metropolitan of greater of Bangkok. |

New EMMA Multi Media DVD is available

After launching the master at the Head Judge training and some test drives afterwards the new EMMA Multi Media DVD is available now. This DVD was produced on the highest possible standards in terms of Picture and Sound Quality. Some special recordings were mixed in 5.1 and Stereo to see the difference and to have proper material for the judging procedure in the Experienced and Advanced Categories. Also all test pictures and movie sequences have been approved in highest qualities. The whole setup was made by the Cap a Pie Studios which are also recording the EMMA SQ and ESPL Discs. largest 12 Volt related show of the Year, the AMICOM in Leipzig. In
addition to the multi media and sound manufacturers the portable navigation
producers signed also in for AMICOM. Tom Tom, Navigon, Garmin, Falk
and others will present their 2010 highlight in Leipzig. A real great
opportunity to communicate is the after show Party on Saturday evening,
Many exhibitors and EMMA are organising Partys at their booths and
in front of the main stage, so the complete hall is a kind of a chill

Head Judge training 2010

| Already in the 10th edition, the international Head Judge Seminar was again a full success. Besides the winter weather everything was perfect this time in Bischofsgrün, where the leading Judges of EMMA met to discuss updates and to educate the newcomers. Now it is official that EMMA is organising events on four continents because Mexican and South African participants were signing the affiliation contracts and are now also part of the Global Network. Furthermore there was a change in Malaysia and a new Partner will also be in Singapore. More than 50 participants signed in which attended the training program divided into two groups. The newcomer received a full training including many practical lessons on cars prepared at the Hotel´s garage. The experienced Head Judges discussed Rulebook updates and management issues around EMMA and its Partners. The result is the 2010 addendum which will be published on March 8. On Saturday all came together to listen to mixing engineer Alex Pleines while presenting the new Multi Media Test DVD. The real news on this is that the DVD was fully produced to the belongings of the judging procedure and also in a much better quality than the previous one. The official launch of the DVD will be beginning of April because the last setups will be done according to the experience using it in cars at the Head Judge training. Second important decision was made in terms of the SQ CD. In 2011 the actual version will be still remaining as the basement for SQ judging or it will only be updated in case of not enough CD´s will be on stock. 2012 a new Version is going to be produced then. The time in between the training lessons was intensively used to exchange experience and to learn about each other. Many new friendships were made during these Days in the “Fichtelgebirge”. |

International Head Judge training in February

From February 24 to 28 the international Head Judge
training will take place in Germany. In addition to the educational
programm a conference about the development of EMMA on a global level
will be organised. The deadline for registration is January 31.
